    Magic Mountain Ski Area
Snagged another 4” last night for total of 13” from this storm system. It wasn’t the full-on motherlode but this first storm of season will set up for a real good opening weekend! We now plan to open the mid-mtn Green Chair AND Red Chair. Snowmaking will go back on later today/tonight to fill in some gaps on Show Off & Wand from Green chair, and then tomorrow night and Thursday night we will be making snow on Upper Magic Carpet (above Medium) to connect to Medium for a snowmaking/groomed way down from summit Red by this weekend. There will also most likely be some East Side fresh powder turns (thin cover & water bars).

*Please note: there will be no beginner terrain this weekend. We hope to blow in the carpet lift by 12/14, so this weekend will be recommended for low intermediate-level skiers and higher since Wand to Show Off will be the only groomed way down from the Green lift.*

We will be out with Patrol testing some different terrain to determine what trails can be opened for powder turns on Saturday with the caveat that it will be thin cover with almost no base under the snow. The mountain is closed to uphill traffic until we open on Saturday as we have active snowmaking equipment and hoses across trails while we are closed. Thank you for your patience this early in the season!

We will keep you posted with expected trails as we test various options for ski-able terrain outside of the snowmaking/groomed way down (it will all be expert-only level skiing due to the limited base and water bars).

It is unfortunate you no longer offer the Sunday ski program. It is even more unfortunate that many are not skiing at all due to the prices of tickets and passes at your location & other locations. The school program were the skiers of the future for your resort. 😢

Really missing that daily snow report. Yes, you can hunt around and get the technical info, but the personal touch is gone. It was the first thing I’d look at when I woke up on a day I was going to ski. Please find a way to bring it back!

I’m bummed that there won’t be NH days this year, which means I won’t be able to get there much this year.

I know there is nothing on the webpage, has OK made a statement about the Sunday or local lift ticket specials?

In closing, he says "As always, thanks for your support and feel free to let us know how we are doing." How exactly should I do that since I can't seem to get someone on the phone when I call?!?

Hey Bruce, any chance Noah and Molly might return to do ski reports?
