We're opening the Single Chair and Sunnyside Double tomorrow! Because of the incredible effort and teamwork between Mountain Operations and Ski Patrol we've changed our opening day plans. Lifts will turn at 9AM with skiing off of the vast majority of our terrain and 6-8" of fresh snow. The lower mountain is still thin so we really urge our skiers to be aware and ski with care - we're all looking forward to a long and healthy ski season! Tickets are $69 at the window or $49 if you purchase online before midnight. All (downhill) ski passes will be valid this weekend! ... See MoreSee Less

Yeah, uh-huh!!!! Broomstick! Cue Mike Mosely: "What the hell are you doing taking me down that thing man! What's wrong with you?! You trying to get us killed!" Jay: HAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHA!!!!!!
Ahhhhh cant wait to hit all of the fresh snow!
My favorite memories of Broomstick are seeing it from miles away on routes 11 and 100. Back in the 70s the trail was clearly visible from afar, cutting a steep straight diagonal line across the mountain (I understand now the trees hide that view). I also used to love coming across the top of Magician on Wizard, being intimidated and thrilled at the cliff that was upper magician. Having been away for some 35 years, I’m looking forward to skiing these trails again some day, hopefully this winter (I’ve been suffering out west - ha!).
After an awesome week of winter weather, terrain expansion will have us at 57 trails tomorrow! Additionally, the Nordic Center will be open 9am-4pm for its first weekend of the season for fat biking and snowshoeing. It's a winter wonderland up here at Stratton, come join us. GoPro... A little fresh snow this week makes for prime corduroy conditions! Sugarbush parks has a mellow early season setup for those looking to get dialed in before Mt. Ellen opens up. We’re expecting intermittent snow for the next few days, which should set us up nicely for the weekend, and there’s potential for a few more ropes to drop, so stay tuned! ... See MoreSee Less
